I-4 off-ramp reopens after gasoline spill in Tampa

Tampa, Florida -- A crash involving a semi temporarily shut down an interstate off-ramp and portions of a Tampa road after the truck's fuel tank began to leak.

Tampa Police say it happened around 2:30 a.m. when a passenger vehicle and the semi crashed on the North 50th Street off ramp at westbound I-4. Minor injuries were reported.

The car punctured the truck's fuel tank, and it began to leak gas all over the off-ramp and a section of North 50th Street's northbound lanes.

That off-ramp and northbound North 50th Street were closed as crews cleaned up the fuel spill.
