Happy Mother's Day to all of our wonderful Mother's out there in West Central Florida!
For Sunday look for mostly cloudy skies and gusty winds from the east / southeast through midday. Some gusts could reach 25-30mph.
Then showers and thunderstorms are likely to start around 3pm-4pm throughout the area before becoming widespread in our counties and lasting until about 9pm. The threat of severe weather is expected to remain mainly north of our area, but with high temps reaching 87 degrees, we should have plenty of heat and energy to warrant some isolated severe weather. So while you are enjoying your Mother's Day don't forget to keep checking back on the radar to see how the day is developing.
We could see another wave of showers in the overnight hours and early Monday morning too.
