A few showers will be around mostly over the Gulf this morning. Little rain is expected this morning with a few sun breaks. It will turn cloudy this afternoon. Look for a 60% chance of storms starting around 1-2 p.m. over inland locations near Polk and Highlands counties. Easterly flow will push the rain into Tampa by 3-4 p.m. and back to the coast by 5 p.m.
Drier air over the Bahamas shifts west over us Saturday decreasing our rain chances to 30%. The tropical wave moves west in the Gulf which helps to drop moisture. Storms will still pop up but be less numerous Saturday afternoon. The small lull will be short lived as storms increase Sunday into next week.
