Happy Wednesday! I'm Meteorologist Grant Gilmore and we have made it to the midway point of the week and with that we will see very little change to our forecast for now.
Relatively dry and stable air will remain in place for our Wednesday. This will translate into mostly sunny skies and quickly warming temperatures as we head through midday and into the afternoon. As the heat begins to climb the sea breeze may spark a few isolated showers as it pushes off the coast, but otherwise most of the coastal communities will be rain free today. Only a few more scattered showers or storms can be expected inland.
Temperatures will once again climb into the low-middle 90s this afternoon with highs around 94 degrees in the Tampa Bay Area. The record for today's date is 95 degrees set in 1995.
As we make our way into the second half of the week we may find a few more afternoon showers and storms, but the chance for rain will remain around 30-40 percent with high temperatures in the low 90s.
As we make our way through the weekend and into next week an increase in moisture and instability will increase our chance of rain even more. The chance of generally afternoon showers and storms for the first half of next week will be around 50-60 percent.
In the meantime, enjoy the relatively dry, sunny and hot weather for now!
