Happy Wednesday morning! I'm meteorologist Grant Gilmore and our break from the heat and humidity begins to slip away today. Winds over the last couple of days have been out of the west and northwest keeping temperatures and humidity on the lower side. That changes today.
Winds will shif to the south today which will begin to pump more warmth into the region. Look for plenty of sunshine to go along with your Wednesday which will help temperatures warm into the low and middle 80s.
A persistent southerly flow will continue to pump warmth into the area through the week with high temperatures reach into the low 90s by Friday and Saturday. Along with the increasing warmth, the humidity will increase as well. This increase in moisture will also produce a small chance for a few isolated afternoon showers through the weekend and into the beginning of next week.
