Overnight: Deputy involved crash

Overnight: Deputy involved crash 22 mins ago

Pinellas County deputy was involved in a head-on crash early Saturday morning.  The crash happened just after midnight, investigators say Deputy Jana Demperio was driving on Bayshore Blvd, just south of Cedar Street in Dunedin when a car driven by Marie Spirtos crashed into her cruiser.  Deputies say Spirtos was driving in the wrong direction.
