Scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly from Polk County southward will continue to decrease this evening. We'll keep a slight chance for isolated showers in the forecast tonight with pt. cloudy skies. Low 73. Wind light and variable.
The most potent storms are between Arcadia and the Charlotte Harbor area and are moving south at 10 mph.
Expect a warm and humid week ahead with far fewer storms than last week. Temps will largely fall in the lower 90s. Rain chances right now will be between 20 & 30 percent most afternoons.
We're watching a disturbed area of weather in the southwester Caribbean near Nicaragua. The cloud and shower mass is not well organized so no tropical formation is expected at this time.
