High pressure building in from the north will continue to usher in the cooler and drier air across the Bay area. It will arrive on some gusty NE winds today that will blow in the 15-25 mph range. Highs will reach the upper 70's which is just below our average of 80.
Tropical Depression Ida is still over land near Nicaragua and Honduras but is forecast to emerge over water later tonight and restrengthen to a tropical storm. The National Hurricane Center forecast brings Ida to the Gulf of Mexico and just off our coast by the middle of next week.
Today: Mostly sunny, cool and breezy. Winds NE 15-20 mph with a high of 79.
Tonight: Partly cloudy to mostly clear, breeze stays up with winds NE 10-20 mph. Low 58 with upper 40's in cooler locations.
Weekend: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy by Sunday with highs in the low 80's. Winds stay with us and gradually turn to the E then SE 15-20 mph with higher gusts.
