Largo, Florida -- There is a first time for everything and today 10-year-old Dalvin is learning how to play laser tag.
Steve and Cristina McCabe are the owners of Xtreme Fun Center in Largo. It's the largest laser tag arena in the state. They've opened up their huge arena extra early so we can play.
Steve goes over the rules of the game and then it's time to get into survival mode.
Think of it like Survivor in a cool, climate-controlled place. You have to outwit, outplay and outlast your opponent. You also get some snacks when it's over.
Dalvin picks up the game right away and it's hard to believe that this is his first time.
I am not a quick study at all and likely shouldn't play again. I have to admit it is a lot of fun, especially when you are up against a 10-year-old.
Dalvin is a good sport and a really good kid. His adoption specialist says he would benefit from a family who can spend a lot of one-on-one time with him.
He's a good student who says he wants to be a police officer one day.
