Pasco deputies searching for suspects who broke into home and shot resident

The resident of the home was shot in the stomach and was sent to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. -- Deputies continue to search for two unidentified suspects believed to be involved in an early Sunday morning home invasion and shooting.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, deputies received a call around 2:30 a.m. Sunday about two masked suspects breaking into a home located in the 4000 block of Tidal Pond Rd in New Port Richey.

The resident of the home was shot in the stomach and was sent to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

Deputies have released a photo of the suspect's vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Tampa Bay Crimestoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS. The case is #18-7986.
