Truck overturns in Panhandle, spilling 60,000 pounds of beer

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. -- It's enough to make a spring breaker cry in their beer.

A semi tractor-trailer carrying beer turned over on Interstate 10 in the Panhandle this morning, spilling 60,000 pounds of the beverage, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

About 2:40 a.m., the semi, driven by Michael Nolan Powell, 44, of Simpsonville, S.C., was headed west on I-10 near Mile Marker 45 when he drifted onto the north shoulder. The semi overturned, spilling its load of Busch Beer.
