TAMPA, Fla. — With the invasion of pirates also comes the invasion of traffic in Tampa Bay.
We've decided to simplify some of your traffic woes during the pirate invasion by providing a list of street closures ahead of the Children's Gasparilla and pirate fest parades.
Road closures ahead of the children's parade:
Bayshore Boulevard crossovers at DeSoto, Nance and Gunby avenues will be closed from Monday, Jan. 11, through Thursday, Jan. 30.
The following roads will be shut down for the children's parade on Jan. 18:
- Bayshore Boulevard northbound from Bay to Bay Boulevard to Rome Avenue will be shut down starting at 2 a.m.
- Bayshore Boulevard from Gandy Boulevard to Platt Street will be shut down starting at 6:30 a.m.
- Bay to Bay Boulevard from Ysabella Avenue to Bayshore Boulevard will be shut down starting at 6:30 a.m.
- Davis Island Bridge off-ramp onto northbound Bayshore Boulevard will be shut down starting at 6:30 a.m.
- One eastbound lane and one westbound lane on Bay to Bay Boulevard from MacDill Avenue to Ysabella Avenue will be shut down as a pedestrian walkway at 9 a.m.
- Eastbound Bay to Bay Boulevard at MacDill Avenue will be shut down starting at 4:30 p.m.
