TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Pig Jig has been rescheduled in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, organizers announced.

In a Facebook post, officials said the event will take place on Sunday, Nov. 3 at Julian B. Lane Park.

"Like you, we’re heartbroken by the devastation Hurricane Milton has brought to our community and its surrounding areas," organizers said in the post. "But this community is strong, and we’re looking forward to reuniting again for the Tampa Pig Jig."

Officials originally released a statement Sunday saying they, along with the HopeWill Foundation, chose to postpone the event to allow the city of Tampa to have "some time to heal" and to have enough resources needed to put the event together.

The Tampa Pig Jig was initially scheduled for 1-10 p.m. Saturday, bringing barbeque and music fans together.

The music lineup for the new date includes Dierks Bentley, The Revivalist and Chase Rice, with additional artists to be announced soon.

All tickets purchased prior to the date change will be honored on the new date.

"Let’s lift each other up and make this year’s Pig Jig one to remember as we continue to ‘Cue Up a Cure for FSGS!" organizers said on Facebook.
