Tampa's own Symphonic Distribution helps musicians reach their fans digitally

The only company of its kind in Tampa Bay, the Symphonic team connects artists from every genre to streaming platforms.

TAMPA, Fla. — Nowadays, the idea of going digital is a universal language. Whether you're a corporation, a small business, or even a musician, reaching your audience online is key.

Jorge Brea is the CEO of Symphonic Distribution, a company he started at just 21 years old.

"We pride ourselves on helping artists reach their goals and being the only company doing this in Tampa is special" said Brea.

He once worked as a DJ and a music producer and during his career he realized the importance of getting his music from studio to streaming.

"When I was in the industry, we had the CD's and I love Vinyl. But I realized when digital started taking off, that musicians needed to take advantage of that to reach fans and I wanted to help them do that," said Brea.

Hand-selecting the talent that they work with, the Symphonic team helps independent artists and record labels get their music into the ears of listeners around the world. After an artist uploads their artwork and audio files to Symphonic’s system, the team then distributes the music for streaming.

"Major record labels aren't just signing and developing acts, they want to see people that're already making some traction and buzz on their own," said Brea.

Brea says being patient, diligent, and strategic is the way to go for any artist.

"A lot of times, artist have a song and they just want to put it out there, but we like to help them see the value in nurturing the song and building the story around it so people feel connected." said Brea.

The company has been successful in landing on Billboard Magazine’s Indie Power Players list for the second year in a row while making an impact globally with teams in Brooklyn, Denver, Nashville and even China. Brea says he’s honored to have the opportunity to help musicians in Tampa Bay and around the world.

"I know how artists feel and what they go through, I was there, but I always say if you wanna make it out there, you have to work hard, that’s my story and continues to be my story today!” says Brea.
