Dancing for Donations performs “The Nutcracker”

Battaglia visited GDL to tell us about her growing studio, and three of her little tiny dancers gave us a performance of “The Nutcracker.”

Dancing 4 Donations is not your ordinary dance studio. Sara Battaglia started this nonprofit when she realized there weren’t many studios allowing children with special needs to participate in dance classes. At Dancing 4 Donations all are welcomed, and kids with special needs dance alongside those who don’t, so all the kids can get to know and learn from each other. In addition to having a welcoming studio, a portion of the profits go to charities chosen by the dancers. Battaglia visited GDL to tell us about her growing studio, and three of her little tiny dancers gave us a performance of “The Nutcracker.” If you’d like to learn more about this special nonprofit, go to dancing4donations.org. If you’d like to see their version of “The Nutcracker,” it’s taking place at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21 at Riverview High School. You can buy tickets here.
