ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — We hear about improv theaters all the time.
Whether your favorite comedian is performing at an improv comedy club or if you like the show “Whose Line Is It Anyone,” improv is truly an art. No scripts, no preparation, you make it up as you go. That’s the art of improv.
Of course, it takes some training to get as good as some of these guys, but improv isn’t only for those who hope to one day shine in the spotlight. Improv has been proven to help ordinary people at work. It gets you to think outside the box, and have new ideas instead of just ending a conversation.
The workers at Spitfire Theater in St. Petersburg train actors and go to special events to train themselves. The small intimate theater also holds shows on a weekly basis for anyone who want to enjoy a great night of improv.
