Photographer, baker team up to make your Instagram better

Put down your DSLR and pick up your iPhone: Class is in session!

TAMPA, Fla. — When it comes to Instagram, the quality of your photos makes all the difference.

As "foodie photography" grows in popularity, local photographer Chip Weiner and Bake'n Babes owner Julie Curry are teaming up to offer a photography class to help transform your feed from yuck to yum.

"So many people don't consider the light, they don't consider the camera, they don't consider the food. They take a picture and go about eating," Weiner said.

The two-hour class is great for influencers, Instagrammers and anyone who loves taking food photos. With a hands-on approach, Curry and Weiner said there are no prerequisites to take the class. All you need to have is an interest in improving your Instagram food photography skills.

"I'll get tagged in photos all the time, but before I re-share, I want to see an accurate representation of the dessert. I want to see the layers, bright colors, a picture that makes your mouth water," Curry said.

So put down your DSLR and pick up your iPhone: Class is in session!

You can head to the class's website to get registered.
