TAMPA, Fla. — One look at Theresa Depasquale's social media and you immediately see that she is fit and fabulous. But her journey to health and wellness wasn't "the norm."
" A lot of people don't know this, but my mom was the president of Steak and Shake restaurant group and I grew up as a fast-food baby," she said.
Given her upbringing, Depasquale could easily access fast food and began to take on an unhealthy lifestyle.
"I would see it and feel it. I was eating unhealthy, I gained weight, I got sick, I had allergies, it was horrible," she said.
As an adult, she made the decision to change her habits and lifestyle for the better.
"In college, I took a human biology class and I was blown away by how the body works. I started making better food choices, working out. I did competitions and would share the experience on social media," she said.
Each post grew not only her following, but her confidence to share her highs and lows on social media.
" I think a lot of people are like I was, it's not that they don't want to be better or make changes, they may not understand or have the knowledge. So I feel like its my mission to educate people on that" she said.
