CADDO PARISH, La. — Don't mess with those Louisiana gators!
While out on patrol, deputies with the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office came across an alligator on Highway 1. It was an 8-foot toothy guy, so they opted to contain it before the experts could arrive.
The gator had other plans: escape! But before the reptile could wander off, it bit into the deputies' cruiser and pulled off part of the front bumper.
It's gator mating season, so expect them to see more out and about -- and in the headlines.
