ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- There's a pet detective searching the streets for a famous dog who was believed taken, and his family is putting up a reward for his return

Zeus is a famous kiteboarding dog who was reportedly stolen Sunday during a kiteboarding competition at the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.

He and his owner, 16-year-old Olympian Cameron Maramenides, have been in videos and commercials, and Zeus was with Cameron during a competition this weekend at the Skyway.

The 7-year-old, 17-pound Jack Russell Terrier disappeared while the teen was out on the water competing. Friends say a man in his 60s picked up Zeus and drove away in a gray Toyota Camry.

The family has hired a pet detective to get the dog back. They’re offering a $3,500 reward.
