Manatee County Search and Rescue personnel announced the passing of a retired K-9 over the weekend.
The K-9 named Trapp died on Friday, according to an announcement on the organization’s Facebook page.
Trapp served Manatee County Search and Rescue from 2007-2013. Around that time, Trapp showed signs of cancer.
“K-9 Trapp was more than just a dog, he was a member of his family and this organization,” the post read. “He committed his life to locating the missing and did so selflessly.”
Trapp was 14 years old.
