ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Snow tubing isn't usually associated with Florida, but Snow Blast Florida brings this frosty activity south this month.
Each day, 100 tons of snow are pumped into the Enchanted Snow Pavilion outside Tyrone Square Mall. Guests can snow tube, build snowmen and make snow angels even when it's still 70 degrees outside.
"I think snow is magical," Bob Valenti, owner of the Idea Engine, the company behind Snow Blast, said. "We don’t get that element of the seasons here, so we’re trying to re-create that."

Outside the Snow Pavilion is the Alpine Village, where families can enjoy make-and-take crafts, entertainment and vendors.
General Admission is $25, which gives you an hour and a half to enjoy Snow Blast Florida. The company also hosts fundraiser nights for schools and organizations.
Sessions start every two hours starting at 10 a.m. Snow Blast Florida runs through Jan. 7.
