AMHERST, N.H. — A company that specializes in helping dogs with disabilities get around has branched out into a new species: tortoises.

Walkin' Pets by HandicappedPets.com posted video on Facebook showing "Scoot Reeves" the tortoise taking his first steps with his new set of wheels.

The tortoise's back legs don't function after he was hit by a front loader, which also cracked his shell. But, he's now getting a chance to zip around on a custom system made just for him.

HandicappedPets.com is based in Amherst, N.H., and typically offers wheelchairs, products and services for aging and injured dogs, as well as canines with disabilities.
