900+ people losing jobs with end of Bucs food services contract

The concessionaire says all the workers will lose their jobs Feb. 28.

TAMPA, Fla. -- More than 900 people will lose their jobs on Feb. 28 when the contract between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and its food concessionaire ends, according to a report.

The Tampa Bay Business Journal says Aramark Sports and Entertainment  Services LLC notified the state it plans to lay off all of its 919 workers.

The Buccaneers told the Journal that most of the jobs are temporary, seasonal positions and most of the workers may be hired by the new concessionaire when they take over.
