ORLANDO, Fla. - No more hangovers? That's what one Orlando company is promising with a new product that hit shelves on Tuesday.

B4 is a noncaffeinated beverage from Sunshine Supplements meant to load your body with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, electrolytes and plant extracts before you start drinking alcohol so you won't wake up the next morning with unpleasant aftereffects.

ABC Fine Wine & Spirits Vice President Dave Larue realized the need for such a product and teamed up with pharmacist John Mansour to get the beverage into the hands of thirsty patrons.

After two years of trials and taste tests, B4 is now available at select ABC Fine Wine & Spirits stores throughout the state and online.

When alcohol is consumed, the body goes into emergency mode and immediately tries to flush it out, causing frequent urination, vomiting, and dehydration. As the body tries to rid itself of the toxins in alcohol, it also flushes out essential nutrients, which causes nausea, headaches, and excessive sweating the next morning.

"B4’s solution to this problem is to pump your body full of vitamins and nutrients so that an excess amount of resources are available once your body starts putting in overtime to expel alcohol from your system," Mansour said in a news release. "Essentially, B4 provides extra soldiers in your body’s battle against toxins.”

Sunshine Supplements recommends consumers drink an 8.4-ounce can of B4 an hour before their night starts. Orange is currently the only flavor available, but berry and grape flavors are in the works, a spokeswoman said.
