Hundreds of thousands of portable generators by American Honda are being recalled.
Honda is recalling the Honda EU2200i, EU2200i Companion and EB2200i portable generators because they could leak gasoline from the fuel valve and pose fire and burn threats, according to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Honda reported it had received more than a dozen reports of the leaking valves.
The generators were sold at Home Depot and other home improvement stores nationwide and online, reported the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission said.
People who have bought the generators should stop using them and contact a local authorized Honda Power Equipment service dealer to schedule a free repair. Honda said it is contacting all known purchasers directly.
