TAMPA, Fla. — A Disney musical, a childhood classic and four revivals top the list of the Straz Center's upcoming Broadway season.
No matter what shows were planned to come for the 2019-2020 season, it's tough to follow a smash hit like Hamilton. The hip-hop musical that chronicled the life and times of founding father Alexander Hamilton saw the Straz Center to sell out season tickets for the first time ever.
The Straz's next season, beginning in October, is comprised of family-friendly picks like Aladdin, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and a special engagement of The SpongeBob Musical. Theater junkies are also expected to flock to the Tampa performing arts center for revivals of Fiddler on the Roof and Miss Saigon.
Current season ticket holders can renew their seats beginning the week of March 25 through April 19. Those looking to become season ticket holders can buy tickets now for the nine-show season from $243 to $898.
