POLK COUNTY, Fla. -- Undercover detectives nabbed more than 100 people during a sting operation targeting human trafficking in Polk County.
The six-day bust focused on prostitutes and johns meeting through online ads.
In total, Polk County deputies made 104 arrests. Fifty-six of the people arrested are alleged prostitutes, 39 were men who solicited undercover detectives posing as prostitutes, 11 were people accused of making money off the prostitutes and six individuals were taken into custody for drugs and other charges.
For the operation, investigators teamed up with anti-trafficking workers at One More Child and the Department of Children and Families.
The last arrest was made Monday night when a 49-year-old turned himself in after undercover deputies posing as a 14-year-old girl say he tried to meet them.
