SARASOTA, Fla. — The sheriff's office continues to investigate after three people were injured in a shooting at a Sarasota Waffle House parking lot.
Deputies say the shooting happened around 2:45 a.m. at the Waffle House on Clark Road. When they got to the restaurant, deputies say three people had been involved in a fight and had gunshot wounds.
The three people were taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A vehicle that was possibly involved in the fight was found and those who were inside were taken to the sheriff's office for interviews.
The sheriff's office said there is no threat to the public, but the investigation is ongoing.
