A 19-year-old Hernando County man is accused of breaking down the apartment door of a woman he was dating, beating her, and threatening to kill her just hours after getting a restraining order, according to law enforcement.

A deputy served Jakari Jones with a domestic violence injunction Wednesday and escorted him out of her place on Constitution Drive in Brooksville. Only four hours later, deputies were called and told Jones had forced his way into the apartment, repeatedly hit the alleged victim, threw her to the ground, grabbed her by the throat and took her cell phone and keys, according to an arrest affidavit.

"If you make a move or say anything, I will beat the f--- out of you," Jones allegedly said, according to the affidavit.

He added: "b---- you're going to die," the affidavit said.

The alleged victim escaped out the door while Jones was in the bathroom. She told investigators she saw Jones chasing her while she ran away, the affidavit said.

Jones later told deputies by phone he would come talk to them if they wouldn't arrest him, authorities said.

"I'll come back but you have to promise not to take me to jail," Jones said, according to the affidavit.

Before that happened, Jones was detained at a nearby pool.

Jones was taken to the Hernando County Jail and held without bond.

He is charged with burglary, kidnapping, battery, obstructing justice and contempt of court.
