WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. — A cook at a Wesley Chapel Waffle House was wounded when someone fired through the window Tuesday, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies say the shooting happened just before 6 p.m. at the restaurant near Wesley Chapel Boulevard and Interstate 75.
Officials said a small caliber gun, possibly a pellet gun, was fired through the front window. Either the pellet or glass struck the female cook, causing a superficial wound to her neck.
She was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
There is no description of a suspect.
