MIAMI — A Miami-Dade man has disappeared along with his GPS tracking device after being accused of stealing from his dead girlfriend of 17 years, the Bradenton-Herald reports.

His next trial is set for June 3. The problem is, prosecutors have no idea where he is.

His last known location? The Florida Everglades -- this past Monday.

A Miami-Dade judge has revoked the bond for Alejandro Aparicio, 60, after he was "deemed a flight risk" when his tracking device was cut off, CBS affiliate WFOR reports

Aparicio's girlfriend, Andrea K. Greenberg, was a veteran real estate industry executive. Aparicio discovered Greenberg's unresponsive body in her home on Oct. 10, 2017, the Miami Herald reports

After a Medical Examiner's report found her cause of death to be "acute combined drug toxicity" with three kinds of opioids, her family became suspicious, The Real Deal Miami reports

“She was taking, under medical supervision, diet pills when she died, and she had been sick for several months probably caused by those pills,” Aparicio told The Real Deal.

He became embroiled in a long legal battle with Greenberg's family over who was entitled to her estate.

Aparicio was arrested in February on charges of stealing $547,000 from Greenberg, WFOR reports. Along with first-degree grand theft and organized fraud of over $50,000, he also faces forged instrument charges for allegedly trying to pass off her living will for her last will.

He was released after agreeing to surrender his two passports and agreeing to wear a GPS tracking device, according to the Miami-Dade Clerk of Courts.

One of the problems? An assistant state attorney thinks he forged the passports he handed over to the court, the Bradenton Herald reports.

Before he disappeared Monday, Aparicio posted a public Facebook post in tribute to what appeared to be Greenberg a little more than a week ago.

"17 Months and the pit in my stomach and the hole in my heart only grow larger with the passing of time. Miss you so much...," his Facebook post stated.

He also changed his profile picture to a picture that appears to showcase the couple. In November, he also posted what appears to be a photo of the couple along with the statement: "Another month without you. Another crack in my broken heart."

The next hearing in his civil case is set for April 3, the Herald also reports.

The clerk of counts set Aparicio's trial for June 3 during his arraignment hearing last Monday.
