Florida woman calls 911, then throws concrete at responding police officer

Jessica Blick is accused of calling 911 and requesting an ambulance on Cape Coral Parkway East near Four Freedoms Park.

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – A Cape Coral woman was arrested after allegedly calling 911, threatening police officers and throwing a concrete "rock" at them.

Jessica Blick is accused of calling 911 and requesting an ambulance on Cape Coral Parkway East near Four Freedoms Park.

Police found her walking on the sidewalk around 6:47 p.m. Tuesday near the Family Dollar at 340 Cape Coral Parkway with a large piece of concrete in one hand and a cell phone in the other.

An officer asked her if she was the one who called 911, according to the police department. Blick, 37, did not respond, and the officer told her to drop the concrete.

As another officer approached, police say Blick threatened to throw the concrete at the first officer. Police say she threatened to kill the first officer.

The first officer discharged his Taser but missed Blick. Police say Blick then threw the concrete at the second officer, hitting him on the shoulder.

The officers arrested Blick after a struggle in some nearby bushes. She allegedly kicked one of the officers in the thigh and groin while she was handcuffed. She continued to kick until an officer used pepper spray to get her to stop acting so aggressively, police said.

First responders took Blick to a hospital afterward.

Blick is charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, two counts of battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest with violence.
