The parents of a 4-month-old boy who suffocated in their motel room in 2018 have now been indicted for murder, according to several media reports.
NJ.com reports on the night of Feb. 14, 2018, the baby, Hunter Brochhausen, would not stop crying. Investigators say he was with his parents, Brianna Brochhausen and William Herring, at the Hilltop Motel in Springfield.
Brochhausen and Herring are accused of putting the baby on his stomach on the bed and pulling a comforter over him, covering his whole head and body.
According to NJ.com, the two went outside to smoke for about 10 minutes. When the couple returned to the room, he was unresponsive. NJ.com says the baby died on March 3, 2018.
CBS Philly reports Herring and Brianna Brochhausen were indicted by a Burlington County grand jury on charges of first-degree murder and endangering the welfare of a child.
