ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Police have arrested a man suspected in a string of armed robberies and attempted armed robberies between St. Petersburg and Tampa.
Ted Benjamin Grossman, 36, of Tampa, currently faces two attempted robbery charges, but investigators say they suspect he may have been involved in nine more robberies.
He was arrested after authorities say he tried to rob a 7-Eleven early Wednesday on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard N. in St. Petersburg. Investigators say Grossman walked inside with a gun and demanded money; but a worker refused to give it to him, so he left. He was later caught.
