A Seminole man pointed a gun at his neighbor because he was upset about her dogs being out of the house, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said.

According to an affidavit, the victim noticed her dogs had gotten out of her home in the 8400 block of Latana Drive on Thursday .

After she got the dogs back inside, John Edward Stoker, 55, approached the woman and said, "Why don't you let your dogs out again?" Then he said, "Let them out again and I'll do something about it," and reached about his back and pulled out a handgun, deputies said.

Stoker then pointed the gun at the victim, deputies said.

He was charged with aggravated assault. He is being held at the Pinellas County Jail with bail set at $5,000.
