MYAKKA CITY, Fla. -- A 38-year-old Bradenton man has confessed to shooting another man in the head and then lighting his body on fire, Manatee County deputies say.
Aaron Koziak has been arrested for the murder of 35-year-old Antonio Bradley. Investigators say he used firewood and gasoline to burn Bradley's body.
Detectives say Koziak confessed during an interview after they arrested him on unrelated charges.
Bradley's remains were found around 11:20 p.m. on Nov. 14 on the west side of MJ Road in Myakka City.
According to an arrest affidavit, Bradley had been driving a pickup truck that belonged to Koziak, although it's not immediately clear if that had anything to do with the homicide.
Koziak is charged with murder.
Anyone with information that could help the case should call the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office at 941-747-3011 or Crime Stoppers at 866-634-8477.
