Tampa police searching for suspects accused of fatally shooting man inside home

TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying armed suspects accused of fatally shooting a man and demanding money from a pregnant woman inside a home.

Police said the suspects had handguns and demanded money from the 19-year-old woman on Nov. 17 in her home on West State Street near North Armenia Avenue.

The woman’s boyfriend, Cristian Velazquez-Osorio was in bed at the time, according to the police.

When Velazquez-Osorio got up to respond to the commotion, police said one of the suspects shot him. He died from his injuries.

Police said the suspects then threatened the woman, who was eight months pregnant.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477. Tipsters are eligible for a cash reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the suspects.
