OLDSMAR, Fla. -- Deputies are searching for three suspects after a violent home invasion early Monday morning.

According to a news release, an unidentified woman and two unknown men broke into a home in the 300 block of Phoenix Avenue in Oldsmar around 4 a.m.

One of the suspects hit the man over the head with what is described as a 'blunt object,' according to police. The suspects stole some of his belongings before trying to break in a unit next door.

The residents next door called 911 and the suspects ran off. K-9 and flight units responded but were unable to find them.

The man from the first scene was treated for minor injuries.

The suspects had Hispanic accents and were wearing dark clothing and had a handgun.
