TAMPA, Fla. -- Two people have been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of another man at a Tampa McDonald's parking lot.

Police said Marquez Davon Roberts, 19, faces charges of first-degree murder, carrying a concealed firearm and uttering a counterfeit instrument. A 17-year-old was also charged with third-degree murder with a firearm.

On July 20, police said the victim, Nicholas Mortazavi, went to the McDonald's on S Dale Mabry Highway to sell marijuana to Roberts. Police said during the deal, Roberts paid Mortazavi with counterfeit money and a confrontation broke out.

Police said Roberts and the teen armed themselves with firearms, and Mortazavi was shot and killed.

On Dec. 6, both Roberts and the teen were indicted. They both turned themselves in last week.
