North Port police seized drugs, an assault rifle and thousands of dollars during a raid of a home Wednesday.
Police, including K-9 officer Dutch, aided probation officers in searching a home in the 3800 block of Ponce De Leon Boulevard. They arrested Marquail Morris, 21, for probation violation.
During their search, they found more than 2 pounds of marijuana, nearly an ounce of crack, a stolen loaded assault rifle and more than $20,000 in cash.
The rifle had been reported stolen out of Venice two days ago, police said.
The investigation is ongoing, and more charges for Morris and others are expected.
Morris is currently in the Sarasota County Jail with no bond from an outstanding warrant out of Charlotte County.
