TAMPA, Fla. — The search to replace the current University of South Florida president is down to four finalists.
Wanda Blanchett, Steve Curall, Debasish Dutta and Jeffrey Vitter are vying to replace current USF President Judy Genshaft. Genshaft plans to step down from her position in July.
Blancett serves as the interim provost and executive vice chancellor of academic affairs at Rutgers University-New Brunswick.
Currall serves as the provost and vice president of academic affairs at Southern Methodist University.
Dutta is a professor of engineering at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. He's also served as the university's chancellor.
Vitter is a professor of computer and information science at the University of Mississippi.
The University of South Florida will pick a new president on Friday.
