TAMPA, Fla. -- Queen will rock arenas and stadiums once again next year.

The Rhapsody tour with Queen + Adam Lambert comes to Tampa's Amalie Arena on Aug. 18, 2019.

The legendary British rock band is going on tour again with American Idol darling Adam Lambert as frontman. Lambert first performed with Queen in 2009 for his American Idol finale and went on to tour with original band members Brian May and Roger Taylor for more than 180 gigs.

The epic show goes on for Queen with the release of Bohemian Rhapsody -- a film that charts the rise of the band and original frontman Freddie Mercury. Mercury, considered one of the greatest singers and performers of all time, died from complications from AIDS in 1991.

"When Freddie sang The Show Must Go On all those years back, even he couldn't have guessed that Queen music would still be storming the charts in 2018," Amalie Arena said in a release. "Next summer, the stages of North America will be well and truly rocked again. You can't help thinking Freddie would be overjoyed."

Tickets for the Tampa tour stop start at $45.75 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. Find more information about tickets through Ticketmaster and the Amalie Arena box office.
