Instead of love, texts, flowers and a letter result in stalking charge for Spring Hill man

He also made multiple phone calls to the victim as she spoke with investigators, according to court documents.

SPRING HILL, Fla. - First came the text messages - dozens per day.

Then came the phone calls.

Then came the love letter and flowers.

But instead of love, marriage and a baby in a baby carriage, William Christian Perdomo faces a stalking charge.

"The defendant would visit the Planet Fitness gym, during (the victim's) normal workout hours," Hernando County Sheriff's Office investigators said in an arrest affidavit. "The defendant had finally confronted (the victim) in person at her gym where she began to develop a greater fear of the defendant. (The victim) had a great fear of the defendant due to her being unsure of what he is capable of doing and only wished for him to leave her alone."

Perdomo, 23, also sent the victim flowers and a letter that, in part, read: "HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT YOU FOR 174 DAYS AND 4,176 HOURS AND CONTING...-WP."

The victim was contacted by Perdomo multiple times while investigators interviewed her, according the affidavit.

"The defendant was upset with her hanging up on him and stated 'I'm going to call you again,'" the affidavit said. "The defendant had also stated over the telephone while Deputy W. Healis was present 'I'm not going to stop until I get what I want' and 'you better call the cops cause I'm not stopping until I get what I want.'"

Perdomo later told investigators he was dealing with a broken heart, according to the affidavit, which didn't elaborate on whether he and the victim previously dated.

Perdomo was released from the Hernando County Detention Center on Saturday after posting a $1,000 bond.
