HUDSON, Fla. — One Pasco County woman recently woke up $1 million richer. Well, $700,000 to be exact.

The Florida Lottery announced that Patricia Geanuracos, 62, claimed the $1 million top prize in the LUCK Scratch-Off lottery game Thursday.

She decided to receive the winnings in a one-time, lump-sum payment of $700,000.

Geanuracos bought her ticket at a Publix on Little Road in Hudon. The lucky Publix will also get a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket, the Florida Lottery added.

The $1,000,000 LUCK game started in February and features eight top prizes of $1 million and more than $72.8 million in total cash prizes for customers buying a $5 ticket.

Scratch-offs make up around 69 percent of ticket sales for the Florida Lottery and have generated more than $871 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund.
