PUNTA GORDA, Fla. -- The Florida Highway Patrol is asking drivers to bee cautious when driving in Charlotte County on Tuesday.

A large truck full of bees overturned at SR 31 south of CR 74. FHP said the area is closed.

FHP said one person is injured, and bees are swarming the area. The agency said a gray dump truck with a black stripe was traveling northbound on SR 31 and passing. The bee truck was traveling southbound on SR 31 and had to "take evasive action" to avoid the dump truck, resulting in it overturning.

FHP said the dump truck drove away after the crash.

The agency tweeted photos of the overturned truck and one of its vehicles covered in bees.

The condition of the bees wasn't immediately available.
