Crash in Ruskin leaves toddler dead, four injured

Reports said the toddler died at the scene. His mother, an adult male, and two other children were sent to be treated at Tampa General Hospital.

RUSKIN, Fla.—A crash in Ruskin left one toddler dead and four others injured Sunday evening.

A one-year-old boy, identified as Christopher Garcia, and four others were in a 2004 Ford Explorer that swerved and overturned into a ditch on 30th Street, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Reports show that Garcia died at the scene.

His mother along with an adult male, and a four-year-old and three-month-old were sent to be treated at Tampa General Hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
