BRADENTON, Fla. -- A shooting overnight at a bar turned deadly, with one man killed and another four suffering from various gunshot wounds.
The Manatee County Sheriff's Office was called around 12:30 a.m. Sunday to the Tommy Knockers bar, located on 14th Street West, on a report of a shooting.
According to a news release, four people were found shot and another person ended up at a hospital for treatment. Gabriel Conde, 39, died after being shot in the chest.
Witnesses told deputies that three men were drinking when a few more showed up to the bar. Everyone started fighting and at some point, that fight spilled outside. A man in the second group was armed, deputies say.
The unidentified man shot at the group, turned around and drove off in what's believed to be a white Chevrolet Impala with two or three other guys.
It's believed the shooter is a bald Hispanic man, about 5-foot-8-inches tall, who was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jean shorts.
The other shooting victims -- 29-year-old Adlfo Garcia, 22-year-old Calvin Lewis, 26-year-old Robert Wright and 18-year-old Fermin Vazquez -- were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Anyone with more information is asked to call the sheriff's office at 941-747-3011 or Crime Stoppers at 866-634-TIPS.
