BRADENTON, Fla. — The body of a 76-year-old man was found floating in a river, and police are left to figure out how he got there.
Police on Sunday responded to a report of a body in the Braden River near State Road 64, according to a news release. The man was later identified as 76-year-old Angelo Dillinger of Bradenton.
It's believed Dillinger recently became homeless. A backpack and notebook were found on the shore, police said.
An investigation is ongoing.
