Search underway for man who threatened to hurt himself

BRADENTON, Fla. — The search is on for a man who told his family he had plans to hurt himself.

Michael Mosher, 48, last was seen Friday at the Motel 6 at 660 67th St. Circle E, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. 

Deputies say he sent several texts to a family member indicating he was going to harm himself.

His cell phone was pinged in the area of 700 University Parkway in Sarasota County before moving to the entrance of the Myakka State Park.

Anyone with information about Mosher's whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff's office at 941-747-3011.
